Setting up Twilio for AI Phone Agents

Unlock the power of Twilio by setting up your account to seamlessly deploy AI Phone Agents for both inbound and outbound calls. 


In case you have a phone number that you want to use with AI Phone Agents, you can either port it to Twilio or forward calls to a Twilio phone number.


Important note: Free Twilio accounts have limitations, including the requirement to verify any phone numbers you want to call.  For more information on the limitations of free accounts, refer to the Twilio documentation


Follow these simple steps to get started:


  1. Twilio Account Setup


Visit Twilio's website and sign up for an account. After signing up, you will be directed to the Twilio Console. Navigate to Account in the top right corner of the screen. Select API keys and tokens from the drop-down list. 



Scroll down to find the Live Credentials box. Here, you can find your Account SID and Auth token




     2. Get a Twilio Phone Number: https://help.twilio.com/articles/223135247-How-to-Search-for-and-Buy-a-Twilio-Phone-Number-from-Console

Congrats, you should now have a Twilio phone number ready to be used by your AI Phone Agent. 

3. On your Insighto.ai dashboard, click on Settings > Channels > Set up under Twilio.

Give it a name, put your Twilio keys and click “Submit”. You can also add multiple Twilio accounts with different names.
