Embed Call Widget

Modified on Tue, 25 Jun at 12:31 PM

The Embed Call Widget is a powerful feature that allows you to place a call request form on your website. When visitors fill out the form, an AI agent will call them directly on their submitted phone number. The AI agent can screen calls, provide information, or forward calls to your actual phone number.

How It Works

The Embed Call Feature is designed to streamline customer interactions by automating the initial call process. When a visitor fills out the form embedded on your website (as shown in the image below), the AI agent will immediately call them to address their inquiries or connect them to you. This ensures timely responses and enhances customer satisfaction.

Now, let's dive into the step-by-step guide on how to set up and use this feature.

    1. Set Up Your Twilio Account

Go to Twilio and sign up for an account if you don’t already have one. You will have to purchase a Twilio phone number that you will use for the calls. Next, navigate to your Twilio console and retrieve your Account SID and Auth Token. These credentials will be needed to integrate Twilio with Insighto.ai.

Follow this detailed guide [Link] to understand how to set up your Twilio account.

    2. Create a Form

Access your Insighto.ai account and navigate to “Forms” under AI Agents. Click on “Add a form” and start customizing the fields you need. Common fields include Name, Phone Number, and Reason for Call.

Follow this detailed guide [Link] [Step no. 1-4] to create a form from scratch.

    3. Create an Assistant

The next step is to create an AI assistant that will interact with callers. This step involves two key decisions:

Voice Selection: Choose the voice for your phone agent.

  • Premium Voices: These offer a more natural and engaging experience for callers (uses 4x credit).
  • Regular Voices: These provide a solid foundation for clear communication.

Refer to this guide [Linkfor a detailed understanding of Premium and Regular voices.

Developing the Prompt: This is the most important part of setting up the Assistant. The prompt guides your AI assistant's conversation with callers. Ensure clarity, professionalism, and friendliness in your prompt to create a positive customer experience.

     4. Create a Widget

Next, navigate to the “Widgets” tab and click on “Add a Widget.” Enter the name, and description, and select the Assistant you created in the previous step. Choose the widget type as Embed Call.

Input information in the following fields:

  • Call Duration: The default value is set to 600 seconds (10 minutes). This means the call with the AI agent will automatically end after 600 seconds. Adjust this duration according to your needs.
  • Select Twilio Account: Click the drop-down arrow and select your Twilio account that is linked to the AI agent.
  • Select Phone Number: Click the drop-down arrow and select the Twilio phone number associated with the AI agent.
  • Form: Click the drop-down arrow and select the form you created in Step 2.
  • Telephone Field: Specify the form field that contains the visitor's phone number. This is the number the AI agent will call.

Click on Submit.

    5. Generate the Widget Code

Once you’ve configured the widget, navigate to the Operations tab and click on “Get Code.” Copy the generated HTML embed code.

     6. Add the Widget to Your Website

Log in to your website's content management system (CMS) and access the HTML source code of the page where you want the widget to appear. Paste the copied embed code into the appropriate section of your HTML. Save the changes and publish the updated webpage.

    7. Test the Embed Call Feature

To test the form, navigate to the webpage where the widget is embedded and submit a test form. Ensure that the AI agent calls the provided number and follows the configured script.

You should also test the call forwarding to make sure calls are correctly forwarded to your actual number.

You're now all set to use the call widget feature.
