Setting Up Stripe and Billing Plans

Setting up Stripe and configuring billing plans are essential steps to manage payments and subscriptions for your agency on Insighto.ai. This guide will walk you through integrating Stripe with Insighto.ai and creating billing plans for your clients.

1. Configuring Stripe Plan Prices

Before you can start using your Stripe Product & Prices with Insighto.ai, you need to make sure that each Stripe Price has an associated lookup_key uniquely filled up. This key is used by our system to identify the respective plan. 

Here are the steps to set it up:

1. Go to your Stripe Product catalog page
   
2. Click on any of the Plan that you'd like to use. We pick Insighto.ai - Diamond as shown above. Now click on the three dots (...) as highlighted and select Edit Price.
   
3. Now enter a unique value under the Lookup key for each of your plan:
   

Repeat the above steps for each of the Stripe Price that you want to import into Insighto.ai as your billing plan.

2. Setting Up the Stripe Account

To integrate Stripe with Insighto.ai, you'll need to generate and input your Stripe API key. Follow the steps mentioned here [Link] to generate your secret key. 

3. Connecting Agency with your Stripe account

Once you have access to the Stripe API key, you need to input it on the dashboard. 

     1. Log in to your Insighto.ai dashboard. Navigate to Agency from the sidebar.

     2. Click on the Rebilling Plan Tab. Enter your Stripe API key and click on the Submit button. 

4. Setting Up Billing Plans

With Stripe integrated, you can now set up billing plans for your clients.

Insighto.ai allows you to create three types of plans: Regular, Add-ons, and Hidden.

• Regular Plans: These are standard billing plans your users subscribe to and are charged monthly. The first plan you create will automatically be set as the default and will be free.
• Add-ons: Add-on plans can be bought on top of regular plans to meet extended needs. You can create special add-ons such as storage add-ons or custom chatbot domain add-ons.
• Hidden Plans: These are still under development and are yet to be decided.

The steps to create your billing plans are as follows:

      1. On the Rebilling tab, click on Add. 

    2. The Custom Billing Plan dialog box appears. Enter the required details, such as Plan Name, Description, Billing Plan Group (Regular, Addon, Hidden), Number of Assistants, Number of Queries, etc. 

Click on Submit. 

Please Note: Pricing is controlled directly through your Stripe account. You need to set the pricing on your end, and Stripe will use this information to bill your customers accordingly. 

Additionally, every Stripe plan has a unique lookup_value associated with it. This lookup_value is used by Insighto.ai's billing system to map our billing plans to the corresponding Stripe plans, ensuring accurate and seamless billing. 

5. Practical Examples of Regular Billing Plans

To help you better understand how to set up different regular billing plans, here are examples of four different regular plans:

Example of an Add-On Plan

Add-On: Extra Storage

Plan Name: Extra Storage
Description: This add-on increases the storage capacity to 10 million words.
Billing Plan Group: Addon
Price: $10/month
