How to use Call Tool & Integration Guide

Insighto.ai’s AI agents seamlessly integrate with the Call Tool, providing two primary functions:

Forward the Call: Forward the call to speak with someone.
Disconnect the Call: Disconnect or hang up the call.

Prerequisites

Insighto.ai account with admin access
Active phone service provider account compatible with Insighto.ai

Setting Up Call Tool

To set up the Call Tool, go to the Tools section under AI Agents from the sidebar. Click on the Set Up button under Call Tool to begin the integration process.

2. The Setup Your Tool dialog box appears. Click on Start New to initiate the configuration.

3. Enter a suitable name for the integration and click Create.

4. Next, select the function for the integration (e.g. forward the call or disconnect the call). Click Save.

5. If you select Forward the Call function, you also need to provide the call forwarding number in the next step. Click Finish.

Linking the Tool to Your AI Assistant

Next, you need to assign the tool to the corresponding Assistant. Go to AI Agents > Assistants. If you haven’t created an Assistant yet, click on the Add an Assistant button and setup your assistant first else Click on Edit assistant under operations tab as shown below.

Go to the Tools Section within the assistant settings. Click on Connect Tools and select the Call Tool from the available options and then select the configuration that we set above.

Select the Tool Configuration (i.e. the name you entered in Step 3)

Once you have connected the tool it will show in the list, close the popup and go to prompt section to write the prompt to trigger the call tool

Trigger the Call Tool

To use the Call tool during a conversation, you can prompt it with the following instruction:

Instruction Example for forwarding the call:

If the user request to speak with (someone/Name), forward the call using the available tool"

Instruction Example for disconnecting the call:

If the user doesn't have any more queries, thank them and then disconnect the call using the available tool"

After adding these instructions, click on "Save & Exit" to complete the process.

By following these steps, you can successfully integrate and configure the Call Tool in Insighto.ai. This tool will allow you to manage calls efficiently by forwarding or disconnecting them based on prompt instructions, enhancing your communication process with the help of the AI assistant.
